Pushchair-friendly walk at Peascliffe & Ridgeway, South Kesteven: Belton Pleasure Grounds Walk, Belton House

Pleasure grounds were popular in the 18th century as ‘naturalised’ extensions to formal gardens. The idea was to bring walkers closer to nature, via woodland paths that meander past unusual trees, water features & follies. Seasonally muddy around pond. The route is around 2.4 km.
